The Machine Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of facility equipment and building systems. This role ensures smooth functioning of all mechanical, electrical, and utility systems within the facility to minimize downtime and maintain safety standards.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of facility equipment such as HVAC systems, DG sets, compressors, pumps, elevators, and utility machinery.
Monitor and maintain electrical systems, control panels, motors, and backup power systems.
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical breakdowns and ensure timely resolution.
Maintain records of maintenance schedules, service logs, and inspection reports.
Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs and AMC services.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, statutory requirements, and facility standards.
Conduct routine inspections of building systems including plumbing, fire safety systems, and lighting.
Monitor energy consumption and recommend cost-saving improvements.
Maintain adequate stock of critical spare parts and tools.
Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering.
3–6 years of experience in facility management or industrial maintenance.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, and utility equipment.
Familiarity with building management systems (BMS).
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
Knowledge of safety standards and statutory compliance.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Ability to handle emergency breakdown situations.
Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation.
Experience in commercial buildings, hospitals, malls, IT parks, or large industrial facilities.
Certification in safety, HVAC systems, or electrical maintenance is an added advantage
