Key Responsibilities
1. Machine & Equipment Maintenance
Roll Forming Lines:
Troubleshoot and maintain mechanical drives, gearboxes, profile rollers, and shaft alignments.
Inspect and maintain hydraulic stations (valves, pumps, cylinders, pressure lines) and cut-off systems.
Diagnose and resolve electrical controls, sensors, drives (VFDs), and basic PLC communication/I/O faults.
EOT Cranes:
Execute daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance checks on hoists, long/cross travel drives, wire ropes, brake systems, limit switches, bus bars, and pendant/pendantless remote systems.
Ensure high safety standards and zero breakdown during crane movement.
Power Presses (Mechanical):
Service mechanical clutches, flywheels, brake bands, tie-rods, crank shafts, and lubrication distribution networks.
Supervise tool clamping mechanisms and safety interlocks.
Bending & Shearing Machines (Mechanical & Hydraulic):
Maintain blade clearances, hydraulic valves, seals, directional control blocks, manifolds, cylinders, and mechanical back gauges.
Calibrate angle accuracy, stroke adjustments, and pressure settings.
2. Preventive & Breakdown Handling
Formulate and implement comprehensive Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedules across all production machines.
Swiftly diagnose root causes during unplanned machine stoppages (breakdowns) to minimize Mean Time to Repair (MTTR).
Conduct regular hydraulic oil analysis, top-ups, filter replacements, and leakage rectification.
Oversee motor health, control panels, wiring harness integrity, contactors, relays, and power distribution boards.
3. Spares & Safety Management
Maintain inventory levels for critical spare parts (bearings, seals, solenoid valves, sensors, electrical components, hydraulic hoses, lubricants).
Coordinate with equipment manufacturers, external vendors, and local service providers for specialized repairs.
Enforce factory safety regulations, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols, and ensure all machine guards/safety sensors are functional.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education: Diploma or B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
Experience: 3 to 7 years of hands-on industrial plant maintenance experience in steel processing, sheet metal fabrication, roll forming, or heavy manufacturing plants.
Core Technical Competencies:
In-depth understanding of Hydraulics & Pneumatics (reading circuit diagrams, pump repair, valve blocks, pressure setting).
Solid grounding in Electrical Systems (panel troubleshooting, star-delta starters, VFDs, sensor diagnostics, motor rewind analysis).
Working familiarity with PLC control panels (troubleshooting digital/analog I/O, error code interpretation).
Strong expertise in Mechanical systems (bearing fitment, gear drive alignment, lubrication, brake adjustments).
Familiarity with EOT crane operations, hoist gearboxes, and safety limit switch wiring.
Language: Fluent in Hindi; functional knowledge of English (for reading technical manuals and diagrams).
