Job Description

Role Overview

We are looking for a hands-on Maintenance Engineer who can independently handle day-to-day machine maintenance in a small manufacturing setup.

The role is execution-focused, where the candidate will work closely with a small team (2–3 people) and ensure smooth running of all machines through preventive maintenance and quick breakdown resolution.

Basic understanding of mechatronics systems (integration of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic) is required.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

1. Daily Machine Maintenance

Attend and resolve machine breakdowns quickly

Ensure minimum downtime

Work directly on machines (shop-floor role)

2. Preventive Maintenance (Very Important)

Follow and execute daily / weekly PM checklists

Ensure machines are maintained before failure

Maintain basic PM records

3. Troubleshooting (Hands-on)

Diagnose and fix issues in:

Electrical systems (motors, panels, wiring)

Mechanical systems (fillers, conveyors, gearboxes)

Pneumatics (cylinders, valves, compressors)

Basic PLC / sensor faults (checking, not programming)

4. Team Coordination

Work with 2–3 maintenance staff / helpers

Guide them in daily tasks

Ensure proper work discipline

5. Spare Parts Handling

Identify and maintain critical spare parts

Inform in advance to avoid machine stoppage

6. Basic Improvement Work

Suggest simple improvements to:

Reduce breakdowns

Improve machine performance

7. Safety

Follow safe practices during:

Electrical work

Machine repair

Experience in small / mid-size manufacturing unit (preferred)
