Logistic Officer

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and organized Logistics Officer to manage day-to-day logistics operations, coordinate transportation and deliveries, maintain dispatch records, and ensure timely movement of materials/products. The ideal candidate should have strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily dispatch, transportation, loading, and delivery activities.

• Plan and coordinate vehicle movement based on dispatch and delivery requirements.

• Coordinate with transporters, drivers, vendors, warehouses, and internal teams.

• Ensure timely delivery of products/materials to the required destinations.

• Prepare and maintain dispatch, delivery, vehicle, and transportation records.

• Track vehicles and shipments and provide regular status updates to relevant stakeholders.

• Verify transportation documents, invoices, delivery challans, e-way bills, and other logistics-related documents.

• Monitor vehicle utilization, delivery timelines, and transportation costs.

• Handle delays, route issues, vehicle breakdowns, and other operational challenges.

• Coordinate with warehouse teams for proper loading and dispatch of goods.

• Maintain records of PODs (Proof of Delivery) and ensure timely submission of delivery documents.

• Assist in reconciliation of dispatched vs. delivered quantities.

• Monitor transporter performance and highlight recurring operational issues.

• Ensure compliance with company logistics procedures and applicable transportation regulations.

• Prepare daily/weekly logistics reports and MIS as required.

• Support process improvement initiatives to improve delivery efficiency and reduce logistics costs.
  

Required Skills

• Good knowledge of logistics and transportation operations.

• Strong coordination and communication skills.

• Good working knowledge of MS Excel and basic MIS reporting.

• Ability to track multiple shipments/vehicles simultaneously.

• Good problem-solving and follow-up skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and manage time-sensitive operations.

• Basic understanding of inventory, dispatch, and warehouse processes.

• Knowledge of e-way bills, POD, delivery challans, and transport documentation will be an advantage.

Qualification

• Graduate in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Commerce, or any relevant discipline.

• Candidates with a diploma/certification in Logistics or Supply Chain may also be considered.
  

Experience

1–3 years of relevant experience in logistics, transportation, dispatch, warehouse, or supply chain operations.

Preferred Candidate

• Strong field and operational coordination capability.

• Comfortable communicating with drivers, transporters, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

• Willingness to work in a fast-paced operational environment.

• Experience in FMCG, food, agriculture, manufacturing, or similar industries will be an added advantage.

• It is a Full Time Manufacturing job for candidates with 6 months - 2 years of experience.
