We are looking for an experienced Lathe Turner with 2–5 years of hands-on experience in operating conventional/manual lathe machines. The candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating lathe machines, producing components as per engineering drawings and maintaining required dimensional accuracy and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate conventional lathe machines for turning, facing, boring, threading, drilling, grooving and taper turning operations.
Read and understand mechanical drawings, dimensions and tolerances.
Select and set appropriate cutting tools, chucks, fixtures, speeds and feeds.
Check finished components using Vernier caliper, micrometer, bore gauge, dial gauge and other measuring instruments.
Maintain dimensional accuracy and required surface finish.
Perform basic machine cleaning, lubrication and routine maintenance.
Identify machining problems and make necessary adjustments.
Maintain production and quality standards while achieving daily targets.
Follow safety procedures and maintain proper housekeeping/5S on the shop floor.
