Position: Lathe Operator
Experience: 0–1 Year
Location: Chennai
CTC: Up to ₹3.0 LPA
Education: B.E. Mechanical (Freshers/Recent Graduates Preferred)

Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate conventional and CNC lathe machines as per production requirements.

• Read and understand engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.

• Perform machining operations such as turning, facing, drilling, boring, threading, and finishing.

• Measure components using precision instruments like Vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges.

• Ensure machined parts meet dimensional accuracy and quality standards.

• Set up workpieces, tools, and machine parameters before machining operations.

• Monitor machine performance and report any abnormalities or maintenance requirements.

• Maintain machine cleanliness and follow preventive maintenance practices.

• Follow safety regulations, standard operating procedures, and quality guidelines.

• Work closely with production and quality teams to achieve daily production targets.

Required Skills

• Basic knowledge of lathe machine operations.

• Understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T fundamentals.

• Familiarity with measuring instruments.

• Good mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Ability to work in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.

• Basic knowledge of machining processes and workshop practices.

• It is a Full Time Manufacturing job for candidates with 0 - 1 years of experience.
