Job Summary:

We’re hiring an experienced Turner to operate precision machines and ensure high-quality output. The role involves reading mechanical drawings, setting up machines, and following safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Machine Operation:

Operating Lathes:

The primary duty is to operate conventional lathe machines to shape graphite materials according to specifications.

Material Handling:

Selecting the appropriate graphite material for the job and preparing it for machining, including loading it into the lathe chuck or fixture.

Tool Selection and Preparation:

Choosing the correct cutting tools for the job, and grinding or sharpening them if needed.

Setting and Adjusting Machine:

Setting the correct speed and feed for the machine, and adjusting it during the machining process.

Checking Progress:

Monitoring the cutting process, using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.) to ensure accuracy, and making necessary adjustments.

Removing and Checking Parts:

Removing completed parts from the machine and checking them further with instruments to ensure accuracy.

2. Blueprint Interpretation:

Reading Blueprints: Interpreting blueprints and technical drawings to understand the dimensions and tolerances of the parts to be machined.

3. Quality Control:

Inspecting Parts: Inspecting the finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.

4. Maintenance:

Machine Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance on the lathe machines, such as cleaning, lubricating, and ensuring the equipment is in good working order.

Work Schedule:

· Days: Sunday to Friday (Saturday Off)

· Shifts:

· 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

· 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM

· 12:00 AM – 7:00 AM

(Rotational Shifts)
