Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate manual lathe machines for machining various metal components.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
Perform turning, facing, taper turning, threading, drilling, boring, knurling, grooving, and chamfering operations.
Select appropriate cutting tools, tool holders, and work-holding devices.
Measure finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and bore gauges.
Ensure components meet specified dimensions and tolerances.
Make machine adjustments to achieve required machining accuracy and surface finish.
Perform routine machine cleaning, lubrication, and basic preventive maintenance.
Identify and report machine malfunctions or quality issues to the supervisor.
