Fitter

Key Responsibilities:

1. Installation & Assembly:

o Install, assemble, and set up new machinery and equipment in the oil mill.

o Ensure proper alignment and fitting of mechanical components.

2. Maintenance & Repair:

o Perform routine maintenance, lubrication, and adjustments on machines such as expellers,

boilers, conveyors, pumps, and refining equipment.

o Troubleshoot mechanical issues and carry out necessary repairs or replacements.

o Maintain records of maintenance work and report issues to the supervisor.

3. Inspection & Testing:

o Regularly inspect equipment for wear, tear, and performance issues.

o Test machinery after maintenance to ensure it operates smoothly and efficiently.

4. Safety & Compliance:

o Follow safety protocols and guidelines while working with heavy machinery.

o Ensure compliance with plant regulations and standards to maintain a safe working

environment.

5. Collaboration & Reporting:

o Work closely with production and engineering teams to ensure minimal disruptions in

operations.

o Report major breakdowns or potential issues to the maintenance supervisor.
