Job Description:

We are looking for experienced Fitters to work in the Ship Building industry. The candidate will be responsible for the fitting, assembly, and alignment of structural parts, machinery, and components as per engineering drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret and work from engineering drawings, sketches, and specifications.

• Mark, cut, shape, and assemble metal plates and structural components.

• Fit and align structural parts, pipes, and machinery on vessels and offshore structures.

• Perform layout and fitting activities for ship hulls, decks, and superstructures.

• Use hand tools, welding equipment, grinders, and other fabrication tools.

• Ensure alignment, straightness, and fitment quality as per industry standards.

• Adhere to safety guidelines and quality procedures at all times.

• Coordinate with welders, supervisors, and quality inspectors for project completion.

• Report any defects, irregularities, or deviations to the supervisor.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Skills Required:

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

• Knowledge of shipbuilding fitting processes and tools.

• Experience with cutting, grinding, drilling, and assembly of metal parts.

• Understanding of safety practices and standards in shipyards.

• Teamwork, punctuality, and good communication skills.
