Job Description

Job Title: Maintenance Fitter

Department: Maintenance
Industry: Oil & Gas / Petrochemical / Manufacturing / Refinery

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Fitter responsible for preventive and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery and mechanical equipment to ensure smooth plant operations and minimum downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of mechanical equipment.
Dismantling, repairing, assembling and installation of pumps, motors, gearboxes, valves, compressors, conveyors, and other rotating equipment.
Alignment of motors and pumps.
Replace bearings, seals, gaskets, and other mechanical components.
Attend emergency breakdowns and restore equipment at the earliest.
Maintain daily maintenance logs and records.
Follow safety procedures and permit-to-work system.
Coordinate with production and electrical departments during maintenance activities.
Ensure proper housekeeping in work area.

Required Skills:

Knowledge of mechanical tools and measuring instruments.
Understanding of mechanical drawings.
Experience in rotating equipment maintenance.
Basic knowledge of welding and fabrication (preferred).
Ability to work in shifts.

Qualification:

ITI – Fitter (Mandatory)
Diploma in Mechanical (Preferred)

Experience:

2–8 years of experience in plant maintenance / heavy industry / refinery / manufacturing.

Salary Range:

₹20,000 – ₹50,000 per month (Depending on experience)
