We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fitter to join our manufacturing team specializing in the production and installation of tents and tensile structures. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with metal fabrication, structural assembly, and installation work. You will be responsible for assembling components, ensuring structural accuracy, and working both in the workshop and on-site as required.
Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
Fit, assemble, and weld metal parts and structural components for tents and tensile frameworks.
Install tensile membrane structures and tent components on-site when required.
Perform drilling, grinding, cutting, and other fabrication processes using hand and power tools.
Ensure precise alignment, measurement, and fitting of structural parts.
Conduct routine checks to maintain high standards of quality and safety.
Collaborate with welders, fabricators, and installation teams to complete projects efficiently.
Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
Follow safety protocols and adhere to company guidelines and quality standards.
High school diploma or technical certification in mechanical, fitting, or related field.
2–4 years of experience as a fitter in a manufacturing or construction environment (experience with tents/tensile structures preferred).
Ability to read and interpret mechanical/technical drawings.
Hands-on experience with fabrication tools and equipment.
Basic welding knowledge is a plus.
Good physical condition and willingness to work at heights and in outdoor environments.
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and teamwork.
Experience in the tent or tensile structure manufacturing industry.
Knowledge of different materials such as aluminum, steel, and PVC-coated fabrics.
Forklift or crane operation certification is an advantage.
