Job Description – Fitter

Position: Fitter
Qualification: ITI – Fitter / Mechanical Trade
Experience: 4–5 Years
Salary: ₹20,000 – ₹25,000 per month
Industry Preference: SPM (Special Purpose Machine) Industry
Location: Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh

Key Responsibilities

• Perform machine fitting, assembly and installation of SPMs and mechanical components.

• Read and understand engineering drawings, dimensions and specifications.

• Perform fitting operations such as drilling, tapping, grinding, cutting and alignment.

• Assemble mechanical parts, shafts, bearings, gears, couplings and other machine components.

• Ensure proper machine alignment, accuracy and fitting as per drawings.

• Identify and rectify fitting and assembly-related issues during machine building.

• Work closely with Design, Production and Assembly teams for smooth machine development.

• Perform machine installation, testing and trial runs as required.

• Maintain proper tools and equipment and follow workplace safety procedures.

• Ensure quality standards are maintained during fitting and assembly work.

Required Skills

• Strong practical knowledge of machine fitting and mechanical assembly.

• Experience in SPM / Machine Building / Automation Industry will be preferred.

• Good knowledge of engineering drawings and measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, etc.

• Knowledge of precision fitting, alignment and assembly.

• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical fitting and assembly problems.

• Good teamwork and communication skills.

Candidate Profile

• ITI-qualified candidate with 4–5 years of relevant experience.

• Candidates having experience in SPM manufacturing / machine building will be highly preferred.

• Should be technically sound and capable of working independently.
