Job Title: Fitter

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Fitter to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for fitting, assembling, installing, and maintaining machinery or structural components according to technical drawings and specifications. The role requires good technical knowledge, precision, and adherence to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read, interpret, and follow engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical instructions.

• Measure, cut, and shape metal and other materials using hand tools and machines.

• Assemble and fit parts, components, and structures accurately.

• Conduct alignment, leveling, and fitting work for machinery and equipment.

• Perform welding, grinding, drilling, and finishing tasks as required.

• Inspect finished products and assemblies to ensure quality and accuracy.

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical faults or assembly issues.

• Maintain tools, machines, and work area in proper condition.

• Follow all safety guidelines and ensure compliance with company policies.

Requirements:

• ITI/Diploma in Fitter trade or equivalent qualification.

• Proven experience as a Fitter in a manufacturing/engineering environment.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measuring instruments.

• Knowledge of welding, cutting, and other fabrication techniques.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

• Physical fitness to handle heavy equipment and long hours of standing work.

• Commitment to safety and quality standards.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in machine installation and maintenance.

• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical systems.

• Team player with good communication skills.
