Assemble, fit, and install gearboxes, gear assemblies, shafts, bearings, and couplings as per engineering drawings.

Perform dismantling and reassembly of gearboxes for repair, maintenance, or overhauling.

Conduct alignment of gear and shaft assemblies using appropriate tools.

Inspect mechanical parts for wear, damage, clearances, tolerances, and replace components when required.

Operate workshop tools such as drill machines, grinders, hydraulic presses, torque wrenches, and lifting equipment.

Read and interpret technical drawings, assembly drawings, and work instructions.

Identify mechanical issues and assist in root-cause analysis.

Ensure proper lubrication, sealing, and finishing during assembly.

Maintain workplace safety standards and follow company SOPs.

Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure timely project completion.
