Fitter

Job description:

To support production activities in the aluminium casting foundry for tyre mould manufacturing by assisting in mould preparation, casting operations, fettling, and basic fitting work while ensuring safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities For ITI Fitter

• Perform assembly, fitting, and maintenance of tyre mould components.

• Assist in mould preparation and alignment before casting operations.

• Carry out basic machining, drilling, grinding, and fitting work.

• Inspect mould parts for dimensional accuracy and defects.

• Support repair and modification of moulds when required.

• Use tools such as spanners, grinders, drills, measuring instruments, and hand tools.

• Maintain proper housekeeping and safety practices in the foundry area.

For Non-ITI Helper

• Assist operators and fitters in foundry production activities.

• Support mould handling, cleaning, and preparation.

• Assist in material handling and loading/unloading of moulds and castings.

• Help in fettling, grinding, and finishing operations.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.

• Follow instructions given by supervisors and senior operators.

Qualification

• ITI Fitter: ITI in Fitter / relevant trade.

• Non-ITI: 8th / 10th Pass or equivalent with willingness to work in foundry operations.

Experience

• ITI Fitter: 0–2 years of experience in foundry / manufacturing industry preferred.

• Non-ITI: Freshers can also apply.

Skills Required

• Basic knowledge of hand tools and fitting work.

• Ability to work in foundry and hot working conditions.

• Good teamwork and discipline.

• Awareness of industrial safety practices.
