Job Description: Fitter

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Fitter to assemble, install, maintain, and repair mechanical components and machinery as per technical drawings and specifications. The candidate should have hands-on experience with tools, measurements, and fitting techniques to ensure accurate and safe operations.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and job specifications

• Assemble, fit, and install mechanical parts, machines, and equipment

• Measure and mark components using precision instruments (vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges)

• Perform alignment, leveling, and calibration of machinery

• Inspect and test fitted components for accuracy and functionality

• Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance

• Identify defects and perform necessary corrections

• Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean work environment

• Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and other technicians

• Maintain records of maintenance and repair work

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of mechanical fitting and tools

• Ability to read technical drawings

• Knowledge of safety standards and procedures

• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

• Attention to detail and accuracy

• Basic welding knowledge (preferred)

Qualifications

• ITI / Diploma in Fitter or Mechanical Trade

• 3–5 years of relevant experience (can be adjusted as required)

• It is a Full Time Manufacturing job for candidates with 3 - 5 years of experience.
