Farm manager ( Operational Manager)

POSITION: FARM MANAGER

LOCATION: DHOLPUR

EMPLOYER: Jagan Mushroom Farm

OPERATIONS:
Large multi-department mushroom farm with composting, casing, growing, packing, cold storage, utilities & logistics.

ROLE SUMMARY

Looking for a strong Operations Manager to run the entire mushroom farm system using SOPs, logs, audits, daily reviews, and KPIs. The role requires coordination of all departments—Composting, Casing, Growing, Machine Room, Packing/Dispatch, Stores, HR & QA.

Candidate must be system-driven, disciplined, and comfortable managing 100+ people (direct + indirect).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee daily operations across all departments.
• Enforce use of logs, SOPs, checklists, PM schedules, audit sheets.
• Monitor yields, quality, hygiene, energy, and cost indicators.
• Lead daily morning and evening review meetings.
• Coordinate labour contractors and supervisors.
• Ensure strict hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards.
• Report daily updates and KPIs to promoter.
• Drive CAPA and ensure closure of issues across departments.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Preferred profile types (flexible for Dholpur limitations):

1. Mushroom / Controlled Environment Farm Operations – 5–15 years.

2. Food Processing / Dairy / Poultry / Cold Storage / Agro-Ops Manager – 8–15 years.

3. Manufacturing / Logistics Operations Manager – 10–18 years with strong process & labour control.

4. Operations discipline is more important than mushroom domain knowledge (training provided).

QUALIFICATION

• Graduate preferred (Science, Agriculture, Engineering, or Management).
• Higher qualification optional if experience is strong.

SKILLS & TRAITS

• Strong people & labour contractor management.
• Ability to run operations through systems, not just verbal instructions.
• Good numerical understanding (yield %, rejections, losses, KPIs).
• Good communication and reporting habits.
• Calm, stable, family-oriented personality.
• Willing to relocate/live in Dholpur full-time for long term.
