Key Responsibilities
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and work instructions.
Measure, mark, cut, drill, grind, machine, and shape metal components.
Fit and assemble mechanical parts, structures, machinery, and equipment.
Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and metalworking machinery safely.
Install, align, adjust, and test mechanical systems and components.
Inspect finished components to confirm correct dimensions, tolerances, fit, and quality.
Diagnose mechanical faults and repair or replace defective parts.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery and equipment.
Dismantle and reassemble equipment when required.
Maintain accurate maintenance, inspection, and repair records.
Keep tools, equipment, and the work area clean and serviceable.
Work with engineers, welders, technicians, and other tradespeople.
