Fabrication Labour

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.

• Measure, mark, cut, and prepare metal materials for fabrication.

• Perform MIG/MAG, TIG, and/or ARC welding as required.

• Fabricate and assemble structural and metal components.

• Set up and operate welding machines, cutting equipment, grinders, and other fabrication tools.

• Check dimensions, alignment, and weld quality during and after fabrication.

• Perform grinding, finishing, and cleaning of welded surfaces.

• Identify and repair welding defects and fabrication issues.

• Follow welding procedures, quality requirements, and production schedules.

• Maintain welding equipment and keep the work area clean and organized.

• Follow all workplace health, safety, and PPE requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• ITI/Diploma or relevant technical qualification in Welding/Fabrication preferred.

• Proven experience as a Fabrication Welder.

• Good knowledge of welding and metal fabrication processes.

• Ability to read fabrication drawings and welding symbols.

• Ability to use measuring tools such as a measuring tape, vernier caliper, and square.

• Knowledge of different metals and welding consumables.

• Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Conditions

• Work may involve standing for long periods and handling heavy materials.

• Exposure to heat, welding fumes, sparks, noise, and metal dust.

• Use of appropriate PPE such as welding helmet, gloves, safety shoes, and protective clothing is required.

• It is a Full Time Manufacturing job for candidates with 6 months - 2 years of experience.
