Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate conventional (manual) lathe machines
Read and interpret engineering drawings and job orders
Perform operations like turning, facing, threading, drilling, boring, and knurling
Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds
Measure and inspect components using instruments (vernier caliper, micrometer, dial gauge, etc.)
Ensure accuracy and quality of finished parts
Carry out minor machine maintenance and cleaning
Identify defects and take corrective actions

Skills to have :

Strong knowledge of manual lathe operations
Ability to read technical drawings and understand tolerances
Knowledge of cutting tools and machining parameters
Familiarity with measuring instruments
Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
