Manufacturing CNC Machine Operator

Opportunity for the Position of CNC Turning Operator

1. Designation (Role): CNC Turning Operator

2. Department (Functional Area): Production / Tool Room

3. Reporting To: HOD

4. Company/Working Location: Moraiya, Ahmedabad (Gujarat)

5. Salary: 2.5 to 4 LPA (depending on experience)

6. Qualification: ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Turner, Machinist, or equivalent

7. Experience: 2 to 5 Years
   

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate CNC Turning machines to manufacture components as per engineering drawings.

• Perform machine setup, tool offset adjustments, and job changeovers.

• Load raw materials and unload finished components safely.

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, process sheets, and work instructions.

• Inspect machined parts using measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Bore Gauge, and Height Gauge.

• Ensure dimensional accuracy and maintain product quality as per specifications.

• Monitor machine performance and report abnormalities or breakdowns.

• Replace worn-out cutting tools and maintain proper tool life.

• Maintain production records and ensure target achievement with minimum rejection.

• Follow 5S, safety, and quality standards in the machine shop.

Key Skills Required:

• Good knowledge of CNC Turning machine operation.

• Ability to read engineering drawings and understand GD&T basics.

• Hands-on experience with measuring instruments.

• Knowledge of cutting tools, inserts, feeds, and speeds.

• Understanding of machine setup, offsets, and basic troubleshooting.

• Awareness of quality standards and inspection methods.

• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work in shifts and meet production targets.
