We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC (Computer Numerical Control) Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The CNC Machine Operator will be responsible for operating, setting up, and maintaining CNC machinery to produce precision metal, plastic, or wood parts based on technical drawings and specifications.
Operate CNC machines (lathes, mills, routers, etc.) to produce parts to exact specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD/CAM files.
Set up and calibrate machines prior to production runs.
Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as needed.
Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of equipment to ensure functionality.
Inspect finished products using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure quality and accuracy.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to machine performance or part quality.
Maintain accurate records of production, quality checks, and equipment maintenance.
Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work area.
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in CNC machining is preferred.
Proven experience as a CNC operator or in a similar role.
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
Proficiency with measurement and inspection tools.
Basic understanding of G-code and CNC programming is a plus.
Good math and problem-solving skills.
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
Manufacturing or machine shop setting.
May involve exposure to noise, dust, and machinery.
Requires use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
