CNC Machine Operator

CNC/VMC Operator: -

Key Responsibilities

• Operate CNC/VMC machines as per production requirements.

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T symbols, and machining instructions.

• Perform machine setup including tool selection, tool offsetting, fixture mounting, and job alignment.

• Conduct machining operations such as milling, drilling, tapping, and finishing.

• Monitor machine operations to ensure dimensional accuracy.

• Inspect machined components using measuring instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, etc.).

• Make necessary adjustments to machine parameters for correct output.

• Maintain tooling inventory and ensure proper tool usage.

• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines.

• Follow safety guidelines and maintain 5S on the shopfloor.

• Report production issues, deviations, or equipment problems to the supervisor.

Key Skills & Requirements

• Proven experience as CNC/VMC Operator.

• Strong knowledge of machining processes and cutting parameters.

• Ability to read and understand technical drawings.

• Good understanding of tooling, tool life, tool wear, and machine settings.

• Familiarity with measuring instruments and quality inspection methods.

• Ability to work independently and meet production targets.

• Basic understanding of CNC controls (Fanuc/Mitsubishi/Siemens or others).
