Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior CNC Operator to join our Manufacturing & Production team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC programming, setup, and operation along with hands-on experience working in a precision machining environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma / B. Tech Mechanical / BE or ITI (NCVT).

• 2 to 5+ years of industrial machining experience, with expertise in CNC programming and operations.

Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills:

• Strong expertise in CNC setup and operation (lathes, mills, grinders, boring machines).

• Proficiency in blueprint reading, precision measurement tools, and G-code/M-code.

• Experience with CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks or Mastercam.

• Operating experience with Laser Cutting Machines, Water Jet Cutting Machines, PP Sheet Cutting Machines.

• Strong understanding of machine tooling, materials, and machining parameters.

Software Skills:

• CNC Programming (G-code/M-code).

• CAD/CAM proficiency for machining design and toolpath development.

Mathematical Ability:

• Good understanding of algebra, geometry, and tolerance calculations.

Soft Skills:

• Exceptional attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality.

• Strong problem-solving skills to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve operational issues.

• Fast learner with hands-on technical capability and adaptability.

• Physical stamina for long periods of standing, bending, reaching, and handling materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Advanced Machine Operation & Setup:
  Set up and operate manual and CNC machines (lathes, mills, grinders, boring machines) to produce high-precision components, sometimes within tolerances of 0.001 inch.

• Programming & Design Collaboration:
  Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs; collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure manufacturability.

• Quality Assurance:
  Inspect machined parts using precision instruments; ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

• Troubleshooting & Maintenance:
  Diagnose and resolve machine, tooling, or process issues; perform routine maintenance to ensure smooth machine operation.

• Process Improvement:
  Implement initiatives to reduce cycle time, minimize material waste, and improve productivity using lean manufacturing and 5S practices.
