Roles and Responsibilities

 Setting – 6 to 8 setting per day according to the complexity

 Log sheet has to be completed and got verified by reporting head need to submit to respective

authority

 Cost per component (CPC) reduction.

 Cycle Time reduction

 Setting Time Reduction

 Mentoring & Training the Operator for all the machines under my control

 Will handle solely 24 machines

 Soft Jaws Boring - I will perform soft jaw boring tasks with meticulous attention to detail,

ensuring precise and accurate results that meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

 Program Recall - I will efficiently recall and utilize existing programs, thereby streamlining the

production process and contributing to the overall productivity and effectiveness of the CNC

operations.

 First-Off Approval in CNC Machine: I will prioritize the timely and accurate approval of the first-

off production in the CNC machine, guaranteeing that all components meet the required

specifications and adhere to the established quality standards.

 Program Writing

 Runout checking

 Faceout checking

 Getting Off set Approval

 Tool Monitoring

 Updating Hourly Production

 Before setting required Tools need to be planned accordingly

 Monitoring and Maintaining the Machine Cleanliness

 Micrometer, Air Plug gauge and Vernier Caliper instrument Checking

 " 5 S"- 24 Machines

 Rejection less than 100ppm

 Air Ring Guages setting need to be done

 In the absence of the designated machine operator (due to leave or other reason), the setter is

responsible for the operating the machine to ensure uninterrupted production.
