Job Description

A CNC Machine Operator for modular furniture operates computer-controlled routers and panel saws to cut, shape, and drill wood panels. Key duties include reading technical designs, managing raw sheets like MDF or plywood, and checking part accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

Machine Operation: Run CNC routers, beam saws, and edge-banding machines safely and efficiently.
Design Interpretation: Read technical drawings, cut lists, and nesting files to set up jobs correctly.
Material Management: Load panels like MDF, HDHMR, plywood, and particle boards while preventing surface damage or high waste.
Quality Check: Measure finished wooden parts using a tape or caliper to match production specs.
Upkeep: Clean the machine daily, check dust collection, and perform basic tool changes. [1, 2, 3, 4]

Preferred Experience

Experience working with modular furniture manufacturers
Exposure to beam saw, edge bander, or drilling machines is an advantage
Knowledge of optimization and material utilization techniques

Requirements & Skills

Experience: 1 to 3 years working with wood panel machinery or CNC routers.
Education: Minimum 10th or 12th pass; an ITI or Diploma in a technical trade is preferred.
Technical Knowledge: Understanding of nesting software, tool offsets, and wood grain direction.
Physical & Safety Focus: Ability to stand for long hours, lift heavy panels, and follow strict safety rules.
