Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled CNC Operator to operate CNC Turning machines, CNC machining centres/VMCs and produce precision valve and fittings components as per engineering drawings, process sheets and quality requirements. The operator will be responsible for machine setting, tool changes, offset corrections, dimensional inspection and achieving production targets. These responsibilities are consistent with CNC roles in precision manufacturing, including drawing interpretation, tooling, measurement and basic troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities
Operate CNC Turning / CNC Lathe / VMC machines for machining valve and fittings components.
Load and unload components/raw materials safely.
Read and understand engineering drawings, process sheets and work instructions.
Perform job setting, tool setting, fixture setting and tool offset corrections.
Handle components such as:
Valve bodies
Valve bonnets/caps
Flanges
Adapters
Bushes
Connectors
Pipe fittings
Threaded components
Check and maintain dimensions, tolerances, thread specifications and surface finish.
Use Vernier caliper, micrometer, bore gauge, height gauge, thread gauges, plug gauges and ring gauges for inspection.
Make basic offset and parameter corrections to maintain dimensional accuracy.
Monitor cutting tools and replace worn/damaged tools when required.
Understand basic G-code and M-code; Fanuc controller knowledge preferred.
Monitor machine operation, coolant, lubrication and machine alarms.
Carry out basic troubleshooting and report machine abnormalities to the supervisor/maintenance team.
Perform first-piece and in-process inspection as per quality requirements.
Maintain production records, inspection reports and rejection/rework records.
Achieve daily production targets while maintaining required quality.
Follow 5S, safety, PPE and housekeeping requirements.
