CNC Lathe Machine Operator

Responsible for/ authorized to:

• Understand the PCR and engineering drawing requirements before proceeding to perform the machining.

• Have good knowledge of tooling and ensure the CNC machine is set up effectively before operating it.

• In the event that there is an NCR, he must report to the Assistant. Production Manager & Workshop Foreman, Machinist immediately.

• Each process of the machining must be carried out with care and signed off with labour hours accordingly.

• He must top up oils, coolant, and carry out daily maintenance of the machine according to the checklist.

• The work area, including the machine and the workbench, must be maintained in an orderly and clean at all times.

• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement on tooling and processes.

• Perform other assignments and duties as required.

• Ensure that operations within his area of responsibility are in accordance with the QHSE policy and objectives.

• Follow safe work practices and procedures. Understand and aware of the impact of their activities on the environment.

• Ensure QHSE policies and procedures are followed at all times.

• Perform other assignments and duties as required.

• Perform Cold Roll (Special Process) on required parts. 

Accountability

• Meet production Schedule.

• Ensure the day-to-day operations are smooth and efficient.

• Ensure full compliance of the product quality.

• Minimize unnecessary rework and scrap.

• Ensure the working environment is neat, tidy, and safe at all times.

• Report all unsafe acts and the environment to their foreman

Skills -

Performing machining, turning & Boring

- Performance of daily Preventive Maintenance

- Performing threading. (Threading Personnel)

- Performing cold rolling. (Cold rolling personnel)

- Performing own Production Process Inspection

- Preparing the CNC programming (CNC machinist)
