CNC Lathe Machine Operator

Key Responsibilities:

• Setup and Operation:

  Setting up the lathe machine, selecting appropriate tools, and operating the machine to cut, shape, and finish materials according to specifications. 

• Reading and Interpreting Drawings:

  Understanding and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and job orders to determine material requirements and machining instructions. 

• Quality Control:

  Inspecting finished parts for accuracy and quality, using measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, and gauges. 

• Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

  Performing routine maintenance on the lathe machine, troubleshooting any issues that arise, and making necessary adjustments to ensure proper operation. 

• Safety:

  Following safety procedures and maintaining a clean work area to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment. 

• Documentation:

  Recording production data, maintaining logs or reports, and communicating with other team members as needed. 

Skills and Qualifications:

• Technical Skills: Knowledge of machining processes, lathe machine operation, and various tooling. 

• Measurement and Inspection: Ability to use measuring tools and instruments to ensure parts meet specifications. 

• Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues during the machining process. 

• Attention to Detail: Ensuring precision and accuracy in all work. 

• Communication: Effectively communicating with other team members and following instructions.
