Position Title:

CNC Lathe Operator

Department:

Manufacturing / Production

Job Summary:

The CNC Lathe Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC lathe machines to produce precision components as per engineering drawings and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC lathe machines.

• Read and interpret engineering drawings and tolerances.

• Load programs, set tool offsets, and make basic program edits.

• Select appropriate cutting tools and fixtures.

• Monitor machining operations and ensure quality.

• Perform in-process and final inspection using measuring instruments.

• Maintain production and inspection records.

• Conduct routine machine maintenance.

• Follow safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.

Skills & Competencies:

• CNC lathe operation knowledge

• Understanding of G & M codes

• Drawing reading and GD&T knowledge

• Quality inspection skills

• Problem-solving ability

Qualifications:

• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or related field

• 1–2 years' experience as CNC Lathe Operator
