Chemist - Production

Job Summary

Vivaan Herbals & Healthcare is looking for a Production Chemist to oversee day-to-day manufacturing of Ayurvedic, herbal, cosmetic, and extract-based products. The candidate will ensure batch quality, compliance with GMP/AYUSH norms, and smooth production operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Batch Manufacturing & Supervision

• Execute manufacturing as per Batch Manufacturing Record (BMR/BPR).

• Monitor preparation of churna, tablets, syrups, oils, cosmetics, extracts, etc.

• Check process parameters: temperature, mixing time, filtration, grinding, etc.

• Ensure in-process quality control (IPQC) during each batch.

2. Compliance & Documentation

• Maintain BMR/BPR, logbooks, equipment cleaning records.

• Ensure GMP, AYUSH, and internal SOP compliance.

• Record batch yield, material consumption, and process deviations.

3. Raw Material & Equipment Handling

• Verify raw materials before charging.

• Ensure proper calibration and sanitation of equipment.

• Coordinate with Store & QC for material availability and testing.

4. Quality Assurance Support

• Ensure product quality from raw material to finished goods.

• Conduct IPQC tests: pH, moisture, viscosity, organoleptic parameters, etc.

• Report any batch-related issues immediately.

5. Production Planning & Coordination

• Assist in daily production planning and execution.

• Coordinate with QC/QA, Store, and Packaging teams for timely delivery.

• Optimize manpower and production timelines.

6. Safety & Hygiene

• Maintain hygiene in the manufacturing area as per GMP.

• Ensure safe handling of herbs, extracts, solvents, and machinery.

• Implement safety protocols and housekeeping standards.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of herbal/Ayurvedic/pharma manufacturing processes.

• Knowledge of GMP, AYUSH guidelines, and SOPs.

• Basic analytical skills (pH, viscosity, moisture, etc.).

• Good communication and team coordination.

• Ability to manage multiple batches and timelines.

• It is a Full Time Manufacturing job for candidates with 1 - 5 years of experience.
