BOM Engineer – Vehicle Data & Release Management In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and synchronising Bill of Materials (BOM) data across enterprise systems (e.g., FEDEBOM, WERS or similar PLM tools). You will act as a key link between engineering, finance, and manufacturing teams to ensure all vehicle data is accurate, aligned with CAD designs, and meets cost and production requirements. You will also support Exterior & Structural Systems programs by managing financial tracking and cascading targets, ensuring alignment between technical design and program budgets. Success in this role depends on maintaining high data quality, timely updates during release cycles, and strong coordination across global teams. 1. BOM Data Integrity & Management Maintain accurate and synchronised BOM data across systems Monitor BOM health and resolve data inconsistencies Ensure completeness and correctness of required attributes Verify alignment between CAD data and BOM for design readiness 2. Change Management & Release Coordination Support part release activities during program milestones Raise and manage engineering change notices (e.g., CMFs or equivalent) Track lifecycle status and ensure timely closure of release actions Validate BOM data prior to approval and release 3. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with Design Engineers to translate design updates into BOM changes Coordinate with cost, sourcing, and manufacturing teams for part and tooling updates Provide issue resolution support for urgent program needs 4. Program & Financial Support Support program-level financial tracking and reporting Assist in cascading targets across teams and ensuring visibility Contribute to milestone readiness reviews and program deliverables Required Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering field 2–5 years of experience in: BOM management, product data management, or release processes Automotive or manufacturing domain Strong understanding of: CAD-to-BOM alignment Engineering release cycles and change management Excellent analytical and data accuracy skills Strong communication and stakeholder coordination abilities Preferred Experience with tools such as FEDEBOM, WERS, Teamcenter, or similar PLM systems Exposure to: Automotive program milestones and release phases Financial tracking or program reporting Experience working in global engineering teams Experience Level Mid Level
