Job Summary
Binbow Automobile is looking for an experienced AutoCAD Drafter who can prepare accurate technical drawings and layouts for automobile/engineering-related projects. The candidate should have strong knowledge of AutoCAD and the ability to understand technical requirements and convert them into precise drawings.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare accurate 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD and relevant CAD software.
Prepare component, assembly, tooling, fixture, and mould-related drawings.
Read and understand engineering drawings, specifications, and technical requirements.
Modify drawings based on customer requirements and engineering changes.
Prepare drawings with proper dimensions, tolerances, GD&T, sections, and material specifications.
Develop drawings for automobile rubber components, oil seals, filters, O-rings, bushes, hoses, and other auto components.
Coordinate with Production, Quality, Tool Room, and Engineering teams for drawing-related requirements.
Prepare and maintain drawing revisions and technical documentation.
Check drawings for accuracy before releasing them for production.
Convert customer drawings/sample measurements into production-ready drawings.
Support new product development (NPD) and sample development activities.
Maintain proper records of drawings, revisions, and approved documents.
Required Skills
Good knowledge of AutoCAD 2D.
Knowledge of 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks/Creo is an advantage.
Ability to read and understand mechanical/automobile engineering drawings.
Knowledge of dimensions, tolerances, fits, GD&T, and basic manufacturing processes.
Good understanding of automobile/auto-component parts.
Knowledge of rubber components, oil seals, filters, moulds, dies, or tooling will be an added advantage.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work independently and meet drawing-development deadlines.
Qualification
Diploma/ITI/BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical qualification preferred.
3–4 years of relevant experience as an AutoCAD Drafter.
