Design and develop industrial shredder machines for applications such as MSW, RDF, biomass, agro-waste, tyre, and recycling.
Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D solid models using AutoCAD and other CAD software for shredder components, assemblies, shafts, cutters, housings, and frames.
Prepare manufacturing, fabrication, and assembly drawings with accurate dimensions, tolerances, and material specifications.
Perform R&D activities for new shredder designs, capacity improvement, blade geometry, torque calculations, and efficiency enhancement.
Physically inspect and verify designs on the shop floor, ensuring manufacturability and correct assembly.
Coordinate with production, purchase, and vendors for material selection, fabrication methods, and component development.
Support installation, commissioning, trials, and performance testing of shredder machines.
Analyze operational issues such as jamming, choking, vibration, blade wear, and overload, and implement design improvements.
Maintain design documentation, revisions, and BOMs.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and industrial best practices for rotating machinery.
Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, shredding technology, and power transmission systems (gearbox, motor, coupling, pulley).
Experience in industrial machine manufacturing (shredders preferred).
Proficiency in AutoCAD / Solid Modeling software.
Understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and heat treatment for shredder blades.
Good communication skills for vendor and internal coordination.
