AutoCAD Designer

Job Summary

Looking for an Electrical Design Engineer with hands-on experience in HT/LT switchgear and electrical panel design. The candidate should be proficient in EPLAN and AutoCAD and capable of independently handling design projects and coordinating with clients and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and draft SLDs, GA drawings, wiring diagrams using AutoCAD & EPLAN.

• Design HT/LT panels and ensure compliance with IEC/IS standards.

• Select and specify electrical switchgear components.

• Prepare BOMs, cable schedules, reports and technical documentation.

• Generate electrical equipment part codes using EPLAN/ERP.

Independently manage design projects from planning to execution.

• Coordinate with Mechanical, Procurement and Production teams.

• Handle client discussions, design presentations, comments and revisions.

• Guide junior engineers in drawing preparation and documentation.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of switchgear, electrical distribution and panel design.

• Experience with PCC, MCC, PMCC, HT/LT Panels.

• Proficiency in EPLAN, AutoCAD, MS Excel and ERP.

• Knowledge of switchgear brands such as ABB, Siemens, Schneider and L&T.

• Good communication, leadership and client-handling skills.
