The Line Manager is responsible for managing the daily production activities on the sewing/fabrication line to ensure efficiency, quality, and timely output. This role involves monitoring worker performance, coordinating with supervisors, ensuring compliance with production standards, and achieving daily production targets.
Plan, organize, and manage the production line to meet daily output targets.
Ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of orders.
Allocate tasks to operators based on skill and production requirements.
Ensure all garments meet company quality standards.
Work closely with the QC team to minimize defects and rework.
Implement corrective actions and maintain quality checks throughout production.
Supervise sewing operators, helpers, and line staff.
Provide training, guidance, and support to workers to improve efficiency.
Resolve operational issues and maintain discipline on the production floor.
Analyze bottlenecks and take corrective measures to improve line performance.
Monitor hourly production reports and adjust workflow accordingly.
Optimize manpower and machine utilization.
Coordinate with cutting, finishing, and planning departments for smooth operations.
Communicate production status, issues, and delays to management.
Ensure workers follow safety protocols and factory compliance standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organization on the production line.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in garment production or line supervision.
Strong knowledge of garment construction, sewing operations, and machine handling.
Ability to manage large teams under fast-paced conditions.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or IE methods (added advantage).
