Assistant Production Manager

The Assistant Production Manager will be responsible for managing daily manufacturing operations at our company Studio Denew:

• Safety – People Safety

• Quality – Product Quality

• Delivery – Satisfy clients by on time delivery of factory schedule as promised

• Cost – Respect budget

The person selected will lead a team of Production Workers, Maintenance staff, and ensure production targets are met efficiently and safely.

This role also includes overseeing production timelines, optimising production processes, optimizing production processes, and managing the production machine and inventory systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing operations, excellent leadership skills, and technical expertise in operating and maintaining industrial machinery.

Main Responsibilities:

1) Production Management:

• Deliver daily production activities to ensure timely and efficient output.

• Develop and implement production schedules to consistently meet/exceed quality and quantity targets.

• Meet and exceed production metrics and KPIs, ensuring continuous improvement in processes and output.

• Maintain, organise and upkeep the store and inventory through maintenance and log system. Timely and effective production material sourcing is key to efficient workflow management.

2) Team Leadership:

• Lead, train, and motivate a team of machine operators and production staff.

• Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

• Develop and maintain a performance culture by providing 1:1 coaching, timely feedback and performance/development evaluations.

• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching.

3) Technical Oversight:

• Manage and maintain production machinery and equipment in safety standard and working condition.

• Implement proper preventive/predictive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime to be better than industry standard.

• Ensure proper functioning and optimization of production workflow systems.

4) Quality & Compliance:

• Ensure all products meet or exceed quality standards and specifications.

• Implement and maintain safety protocols and regulatory compliance.

• Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions.

5) Process Improvement:

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence.

Other:

• Complete duties as required to support the factory and contribute to the business.

Qualifications:

• Preferred: Diploma degree in engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or a related field.), or / and minimum of 1-2 years’ experience as a Production Supervisor in Wood manufacturing within India.

• Strong knowledge of production processes, machinery maintenance, and manufacturing software systems.

• Ability to speak in Hindi proficiently (required). Ability to communicate basics in English.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to analyze data and use time management skills to drive decision-making.

• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

• It is a Full Time Manufacturing job for candidates with 1 - 2 years of experience.
