Assistant Production Manager

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production Planning & Control

- Prepare daily/weekly production plans based on orders and shipment schedules.

Allocate styles to lines and ensure line loading as per plan.

- Coordinate with cutting, sewing, finishing, and packing to maintain smooth flow.

2. Line Management & Monitoring

- Track WIP (work-in-progress) and output at each operation/line.

- Monitor operator performance and line efficiency; highlight bottlenecks.

- Ensure target output, productivity, and SMV-based planning is achieved.

3. Quality & Compliance

- Work closely with quality team to reduce defects and rework.

- Ensure adherence to buyer quality standards, AQL, and SOPs.

- Support implementation of 5S, safety, and compliance requirements on floor.

4. Coordination & Communication

- Coordinate with Merchandising for style details, T&A and special requirements.

- Liaise with Maintenance for machine breakdowns and layout changes.

- Participate in PP meetings and pre-production risk assessments.

5. Data & Reporting

- Maintain production records: hourly output, efficiency, absenteeism, rework, downtime, and rejection reports.

- Analyse variance between plan vs actual and suggest corrective actions.

- Share daily/weekly production reports with management.
