Assistant Production Manager

Summary:                

 The role requires strong knowledge of work planning, organization, and decision-making within manufacturing operations. It involves hands-on exposure to manufacturing machinery and processes including press shop operations, welding, fabrication, assembly, shot blasting, and painting, with a clear focus on quality control. The role also includes conducting process time studies, maintaining records, training subordinates, and coordinating effectively with internal teams, customers, vendors, and site installation teams to ensure smooth execution.

Key Job Responsibilities: 

• Plan, organize, and monitor daily manufacturing activities to achieve production targets and delivery schedules.

• Take effective decisions related to production flow, manpower deployment, and process improvements.

• Operate and manage manufacturing machinery and processes in line with approved work instructions.

• Supervise press shop operations, welding, fabrication, and assembly activities to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

• Oversee shot blasting and painting processes, ensuring surface finish and coating quality standards are met.

• Implement quality control checks at all stages of production and address non-conformities.

• Conduct process time studies, analyze performance, and maintain production and quality records.

• Train, guide, and evaluate subordinates to improve skills, safety awareness, and shop-floor discipline.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mech).

Skills Required:

• Should have knowledge on AutoCAD.

• Knowledge of quality management systems, tools, and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, ISO standards).

• Proficiency in data analysis and statistical techniques.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
