Job Summary
The Production Supervisor is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising daily production activities to ensure production targets are achieved while maintaining quality, safety, and cost efficiency. The role involves managing shop floor manpower, monitoring machine utilization, ensuring compliance with company procedures, and maintaining production records.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise daily production activities and ensure production targets are achieved.
Allocate manpower and monitor workforce productivity.
Ensure adherence to production schedules and delivery timelines.
Monitor machine performance and coordinate with the Maintenance Department for preventive and breakdown maintenance.
Ensure compliance with quality standards and minimize rejection and rework.
Maintain production reports, shift reports, and daily output records.
Implement and monitor 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations, PPE usage, and statutory requirements.
Train and guide production operators on SOPs and work instructions.
Coordinate with Stores, Purchase, QA/QC, and Planning departments for uninterrupted production.
Monitor raw material consumption and minimize wastage.
Investigate production issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Maintain discipline and resolve shop floor operational issues.
Required Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Production, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
Additional certification in Production Management will be an advantage.
Experience
4–8 years of experience in a manufacturing industry.
Experience in supervising production teams and handling shop floor operations.
