Role Overview
The Legal Associate will support the organization in drafting and reviewing legal documents, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, and providing specialized support for trade finance–related activities. The role focuses on documentation accuracy, risk assessment, and coordination across internal teams involved in trade finance operations.
Key Responsibilities
Draft and review contracts, agreements, NDAs, purchase contracts, and trade finance documentation.
Support legal review of instruments used in trade finance such as Letters of Credit, Bank Guarantees, Vendor Agreements, and Supply Chain Finance documents.
Ensure regulatory compliance related to trade transactions, commercial laws, and documentation standards.
Assist in identifying legal risks in trade finance processes and recommending mitigation steps.
Maintain organized records of agreements, compliance reports, and trade-related legal documents.
Assist in updating internal policies, SOPs, and compliance guidelines related to trade operations.
Track contract validity, renewal timelines, and key obligations related to trade partnerships.
Qualifications
LLB / BA LLB / BBA LLB (mandatory).
0–1 years of experience in legal documentation, corporate legal, or trade finance operations (preferred).
Applicants should be enrolled with the Tamil Nadu & Puducherry Bar Council as practicing advocates.
Skills Required
