The Advocate in the Hearing and Drafting Department is responsible for preparing legal documents, attending hearings, and representing the organization. The role demands excellent legal drafting, research, and advocacy skills with a strong understanding of relevant laws and procedures.
Draft petitions, replies, affidavits, contracts, legal notices, applications, and other legal documents.
Ensure accuracy, clarity, and legal compliance in all drafted materials.
Customize drafts for various forums such as civil courts, criminal courts, tribunals, regulatory bodies, etc.
Represent clients or the organization before courts, tribunals, and quasi-judicial bodies.
Present arguments, examine witnesses, and manage case strategy in coordination with seniors.
Attend court hearings regularly, keep records, and follow up on proceedings.
Conduct in-depth legal research on statutes, case laws, regulations, and precedents.
Provide legal opinions and briefings to clients or internal stakeholders based on findings.
Liaise with clients, external counsels, government authorities, and other stakeholders.
Maintain and update case files, hearing dates, and compliance calendars.
Track case progress and ensure timely filings and follow-ups.
Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B.) from a recognized university.
1–5 years of experience in litigation, preferably with exposure to both hearings and legal drafting.
