We are looking for a Associate Advocate to join our team at Safety World to manage legal documentation, contract reviews and compliance matters. This position offers an in-hand salary of ₹20,000 - ₹45,000 along with professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
Contract Management
o Draft, review and negotiate agreements, work orders, MoUs, NDAs, vendor/subcontractor agreements and other commercial contracts.
o Identify contractual risks and protect the Company’s interests.
Legal Notices & Correspondence
o Draft and reply to legal notices, demand notices, termination notices, show-cause notices and contractual correspondence.
Litigation & Disputes
o Handle and monitor all Company litigation, arbitration, recovery cases and disputes.
o Coordinate with external advocates and senior counsels wherever required.
Payment Recovery
o Handle legal recovery of outstanding payments, disputed bills, deductions, retention amounts and other receivables.
Corporate & Compliance
o Advise management on applicable corporate, commercial, labour and contractual legal requirements.
o Coordinate with CA/CS and other professional consultants wherever required.
Government & Authority Matters
o Handle legal correspondence and matters with government departments, authorities, clients and other statutory bodies.
Vendor & Employee Matters
o Handle legal issues relating to vendors, subcontractors, employees and contractual breaches.
Legal Risk Management
o Identify potential legal risks and advise management on preventive and corrective action.
Documentation
o Maintain proper records of contracts, notices, litigation, claims, recoveries and other legal matters.
External Counsel Management
o Brief, coordinate and monitor external advocates/law firms and ensure timely action on all cases.
Management Reporting
o Maintain a Legal MIS covering litigation, notices, contracts, recoveries, disputes, compliance and pending actions.
Key Expectation
The Advocate will be the single-point legal owner of the Company and will be responsible for ensuring that all legal matters are:
Identified → Reviewed → Actioned → Tracked → Resolved.
Major settlements, financial commitments, admissions of liability and strategic legal decisions will remain subject to Management approval.
Qualification
· LLB mandatory.
· Bar Council enrollment preferred/required as applicable.
· 3+ years relevant experience preferred.
· Experience in Corporate, Commercial, Contract, Infrastructure/Construction, Recovery, Arbitration and Litigation matters will be an advantage.
· Excellent legal drafting, negotiation and communication skills.
