We are looking for a qualified Advocate with a B.Com background who is interested in developing a long-term career with a Tax Law / Corporate Law Firm.

The position is particularly suitable for a candidate who has a good understanding of accounts and finance and wants to combine this knowledge with legal practice in the areas of Income Tax, GST, Corporate Law and financial matters.

Key Responsibilities

The candidate will be expected to handle and assist in:

• Income Tax matters, including assessments, notices, replies, appeals and related proceedings

• GST matters, including returns, reconciliations, notices, assessments and appeals

• Tax Audits and coordination of audit-related assignments

• Preparation and review of Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Account, Trial Balance and other financial statements

• Analysis of books of accounts, ledgers, bank statements and financial records

• Understanding and analysing financial transactions from a legal and taxation perspective

• Preparation of reconciliations, workings and financial data required for litigation and advisory matters

• Drafting of legal notices, replies, representations, appeals and written submissions

• Research on Income Tax, GST, Companies Act and Corporate Laws

• Assisting in matters before Income Tax Authorities, GST Authorities, appellate authorities, Tribunals and Courts

• Corporate and regulatory compliance and other assignments handled by the firm

• It is a Full Time Legal job for candidates with 3 - 5 years of experience.
