A MIG Welder is responsible for joining metal parts using the Metal Inert Gas (MIG) welding process. They read blueprints, prepare materials, operate welding equipment, inspect finished welds, and ensure all work meets quality and safety standards.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders.
Set up and operate MIG welding equipment.
Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning, cutting, grinding, and fitting materials.
Weld steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and other metals according to specifications.
Inspect completed welds for quality, strength, and dimensional accuracy.
