Role Objective
The Head Warden is responsible for the overall management, discipline, safety, and smooth functioning of hostel facilities. The role ensures a secure, comfortable, and student-friendly living environment while maintaining institutional rules and standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Hostel Operations Management
Oversee day-to-day hostel operations (rooms, housekeeping, mess, maintenance).
Ensure proper allocation of rooms and occupancy management.
Monitor cleanliness, hygiene, and infrastructure upkeep.
2. Student Discipline & Welfare
Maintain discipline and enforce hostel rules and regulations.
Address student grievances and resolve conflicts.
Act as a point of contact for students' well-being and support.
3. Staff Supervision
Manage wardens, assistant wardens, security staff, and housekeeping teams.
Allocate duties and ensure accountability of hostel staff.
Conduct regular staff meetings and performance reviews.
4. Safety & Security
Ensure hostel safety protocols are followed (entry/exit logs, visitor management).
Coordinate with security teams for emergency situations.
Implement measures for fire safety and emergency preparedness.
5. Administrative Responsibilities
Maintain hostel records (occupancy, attendance, complaints, incidents).
Prepare reports for management on hostel operations.
Ensure compliance with institutional policies.
6. Parent & Management Coordination
Communicate with parents/guardians when required.
Report major issues or incidents to higher management.
Support student engagement and community-building activities.
