Core Responsibilities
Order Preparation: Review order slips or digital scanners to gather the correct items from inventory.
Packaging: Select the appropriate boxes, crates, and protective materials (e.g., bubble wrap, padding) to prevent breakage during transit.
Quality Control: Inspect products for damages, defects, or missing parts before packing them.
Labeling: Accurately weigh packages and apply shipping labels, tracking numbers, and addresses.
Equipment Operation: Use warehouse tools and equipment such as tape guns, shrink-wrap machines, dollies, and pallet jacks.
Maintenance: Keep the packing station, warehouse floor, and inventory areas clean, safe, and organized.
Key Requirements
Education: High school diploma or GED is usually required.
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, bend, twist, and frequently lift heavy objects (typically up to 50 lbs.).
Attention to Detail: Accuracy in reading order codes and ensuring the right product goes to the right customer.
Time Management: Capability to meet daily packaging targets and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
