POST-MOULDING OPERATOR – DEFLASHING / DEBURRING & PACKING

Post-Moulding Operator – Deflashing / Deburring & Packing

Post-Moulding Supervisor / Team Leader
4. Job Purpose:
To ensure that all moulded plastic components are properly deflashed, deburred, visually inspected, counted, packed, labeled, and dispatched as per company quality standards.
These components are used in critical automobile applications (Starters & Alternators). Any negligence may result in customer rejection, financial loss, or safety risk.
5. Key Responsibilities:
A. Deflashing / Deburring Operations
Remove flash, burrs, sharp edges and excess material carefully without damaging the component.
Use approved tools only.
Follow work instructions and quality standards strictly.
Ensure no scratch marks, dents, deformation, or surface damage during handling.
Maintain proper segregation of OK parts and rejection parts.
B. Visual Quality Inspection
Check each component for:
Short moulding
Sink marks
Flash
Burns
Black spots
Cracks
Deformation
Surface defects
Immediately inform supervisor of abnormal defects.
No defective part should move to packing stage.
100% strict visual inspection is mandatory.
C. Quantity & Productivity Target
Achieve daily production targets as assigned.
Maintain rejection within permissible limits.
Avoid wastage of components.
Maintain efficiency as per standard cycle time.
Report any reason for shortfall in output immediately.
D. Packing & Tray Arrangement
Arrange components properly in trays as per packing standard.
Ensure correct orientation and proper stacking.
Avoid overloading trays.
Ensure no mixing of part numbers.
Follow FIFO system (First In First Out).
E. Counting & Labelling
Count parts accurately before packing.
Double-check quantity before sealing.
Ensure correct part number, batch number, quantity, date, and shift marking.
Incorrect labelling will be treated as a serious mistake.
F. Loading & Unloading
Load and unload finished goods carefully.
Avoid damage during movement.
Follow material handling instructions.
Maintain discipline during dispatch activity.
G. Housekeeping & Safety
Maintain 5S in work area.
Keep tools in designated location.
Follow PPE rules.
No littering or negligence in shop floor cleanliness.
6. Discipline & Conduct Expectations
Strict punctuality is mandatory.
Late coming, absenteeism without prior approval is not acceptable.
No mobile phone usage during work.
No idle time during working hours.
No argument or misconduct on shop floor.
Maintain honesty in counting and reporting.
Any manipulation in quantity or rejection will invite strict disciplinary action.

Operator will be held accountable for:
Quality defects passed to next stage
Wrong counting
Wrong labelling
Mixed parts
Excess rejection due to mishandling
Damage during loading/unloading
Failure to meet assigned target without valid reason
Indiscipline or dishonesty
Repeated negligence may lead to:
Written warning
Salary deduction (as per company policy)
Suspension
Termination
