Packing Staff

We're hiring a dedicated and physically fit Packing Staff member for our e-commerce brand, Casebasket, located in Bhayander (East), Mumbai. This role involves order packing, inspection, labeling, and dispatch preparation. Candidates must have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

💼 Salary (In-hand): ₹10,000 – ₹13,000

Key Responsibilities:

Packing Staff Responsibilities:

1. Order Verification:

   • Cross-check order details (product, quantity, address) before packing.

2. Product Inspection:

   • Ensure products are clean, undamaged, and correct before packaging.

3. Efficient Packaging:

   • Use proper packing materials (bubble wrap, boxes, polybags, etc.) based on the product type.

   • Follow brand packaging guidelines for uniformity and appeal.

4. Labeling:

   • Print and correctly place shipping and product labels on packages.

5. Weight & Dimension Check:

   • Verify weight and size for accurate courier charges.

6. Timely Dispatch:

   • Meet daily dispatch cut-off times to ensure on-time deliveries.

7. Handling Returns:

   • Repack or segregate returned items based on condition (resellable or damaged).

8. Clean Workstation:

   • Maintain a clutter-free, hygienic packing area to avoid mix-ups.

9. Reporting Issues:

   • Report missing items, stock mismatches, or packaging material shortages to the manager.

Material Making / Preparation Staff Responsibilities:

1. Material Stock Management:

   • Track and restock essential materials like boxes, tapes, stickers, and inserts.

2. Custom Inserts & Branding:

   • Print and cut thank you cards, stickers, or branding material as per the packaging design.

3. Pre-Assembly:

   • Pre-fold boxes, prepare barcode labels, or bundle items for quicker packing.

4. Quality Check of Materials:

   • Inspect materials before use to avoid damaged or poor-quality packaging.

5. Organized Inventory:

   • Maintain proper storage and labeling of all packing materials.

6. Daily Refill & Setup:

   • Refill tape dispensers, tag printers, and set up the packaging station daily.

7. Support Packing Staff:

   • Coordinate with the packers to ensure a smooth and continuous workflow.

8. Usage Monitoring:

   • Record daily usage of materials to track consumption and reduce wastage.

9. Waste Disposal:

   • Properly discard scraps, misprints, or damaged materials responsibly.

Job Requirements:

• Applicants must be 18 years or older.

• Education: Below or above 10th grade with relevant experience in packing or warehouse-related work.

• Must be comfortable with physical tasks

• Punctuality, reliability, and a strong work ethic are essential to succeed in this role.
